might it be a poor choice to pay 150 per month extra on my interest only mortgage?

which will convert to a conventional mtg. in 6 years-we will move in 5 years- the value of our home has decreased by 100,000 in 4 years.. Our mtg. amount is now just about the same as the home value. we would love to buy some new windows but we can’t afford them. The principal does not go down much by these extra payments anyway.

I got a letter from my mortgage holder saying they became aware thant an employee stole my loan info, and ss. They regret that so they will pay for 2 years of credit monitoring for me. Is there any legal action I can take?

My first mortgage is with Aurora Loan services for 5,200 @ 6.875 5 year fixed 2nd mortgage at ,800 with Washington mutual @ 13% 30 year due in 15 Balloon. I cannot refinance since my value has dropped around ,000 is there any law that would allow me to renegotiate this with my lenders? I still have 3 years left but I rather do this now and take advantage of the relief act. I am not in default and want to avoid being in default when negotiating any tips you guys could give me? Thanks!
